Rodney Clayton
Owner
Hello my name is Rodney Clayton, I am a motor trimmer by trade but joined the Airlines in 1984 as an Engineer working in aircraft cabins and on safety equipment. I started with TAA which became Australian Airlines then Qantas.
During my time with the airlines I manufactured and installed various equipment for aircraft. I was also a production examiner ensuring that all work carried out by other engineers met Qantas and CASA’s strict approved standards.
In 2014, along with many engineers working at Qantas I was made redundant. At that time my son’s school installed new playground equipment and I noticed the danger of injury to the children as this playground equipment had raw metal poles and edges. Using my experience as an engineer, and OH&S training at Qantas, and my initial trade background, I designed and manufactured pads for this equipment. In doing this it became apparent to me that other schools and sporting clubs could benefit from my product. Many of my duties and responsibilites are listed below.
